Braxton Critcher [00:00:08]:
I'm Braxton Critcher. Last week we shared that Florida and other states received funding two years ago for EV charging stations, but have not.

Braxton Critcher [00:00:18]:
Committed that money to any projects yet.

Braxton Critcher [00:00:21]:
Why?

Braxton Critcher [00:00:22]:
Well, hard to say exactly, but it's.

Braxton Critcher [00:00:24]:
Probably just governmental red tape. Here's Ryan McKinnon from Charge Ahead Partnership with more.

Ryan McKinnon [00:00:30]:
So it really is a mystery why a state like Florida would sit on the sidelines and not use this money. Because the money is really intended, kind of, to be seed money for businesses. It's not just to, it's not to build government owned charging stations that are going to just pop up on the side of the road, but instead it's for folks like a bucky's or a wawa or Tesla or anyone else who wants to provide EV charging to apply for a grant to help offset the cost of the charger. Because for a lot of businesses, that upfront cost of buying and installing a charger is the most prohibitive part of offering EV charging.

Braxton Critcher [00:01:10]:
You can listen to the full conversation.

A tire explosion at a repair shop in Florida killed a technician just two weeks ago. Rick Hansen, an employee at a firestone in Cape Coral, Florida, was killed while performing a routine tire inflation. Employees at the shop state that their compressors will not inflate tires to the point of combustion, so suspicions have been raised about this. More to come on this story. A new ados survey was just released by S and P. Global Mobility. 8000 consumers across eight countries were surveyed, highlighting evolving consumer expectations in the era of automatic driving. Over half of the respondents are familiar with ados features, particularly park assist, collision warning, and lane assistance.

Braxton Critcher [00:04:08]:
The survey shows high interest in advanced driving features, with blind spot detection being a favorite for the fourth consecutive year, while driver facial monitoring remains the least.
