Good News in Auto Repair | Radical Generosity and Faith TRANSFORMED This Repair Shop

Ed Caswell [00:00:11]:
Well, Ed and Brandy Caswell are the guests on Good News and Auto Repair. Thanks for listening. Full Throttle Automotive and Fast Lane Auto Repair. So you guys have two shops and I understand in two different states, is that right?

Braxton Critcher [00:00:28]:
Yeah, we're right on the border. So it's only, it's only. We could get to Kentucky in just a few minutes, but yeah, it's about 45 miles away. For, for our other stores, I feel.

Ed Caswell [00:00:39]:
Like that's kind of uncommon. I don't know of a lot of folks who, who do that. So most of the time their, their shops are in the same state nearby. So what does that present challenges for tax purposes or like. I, I would have no idea.

Braxton Critcher [00:00:55]:
Yeah, no, it's. It's not that big a deal. We. We took over a couple stores in Owensboro, Kentucky and they were, they were already set up and running. So luckily we have a. Another Brandy down there. That's. That's my work.

Ed Caswell [00:01:09]:
No way.

Braxton Critcher [00:01:09]:
Yeah. Swear. She's the accounts manager down there.

Ed Caswell [00:01:12]:
So basically you don't hire someone unless they are in your family or they share the same name as you.

Braxton Critcher [00:01:18]:
Yeah, as my sister in law's hiding back there. Or they got to be a Brandy. That's the only option. Right.

Ed Caswell [00:01:24]:
Tough crowd, man. Tough crowd. So this is good news in auto repair and the idea is to simply share good news that happens in the industry. And do either of you know Lucas Underwood?

Braxton Critcher [00:01:39]:
I know, I know. Yeah, I know.

Ed Caswell [00:01:42]:
I know of him. Or you know him.

Braxton Critcher [00:01:44]:
I watch his. I watch the Changing the Industry podcast and I've seen him on your guys podcast.

Ed Caswell [00:01:49]:
Okay, cool. Well, you know, his idea to. Well, actually technically he wanted me to start a podcast first and he wanted it to be about the news in the industry. And so I. Most of what I do is that. But I was like, you know, because I'm a Christian and I used to work for Billy Graham's radio station and I did a podcast there where we highlighted the work that God did or does around the community. And I was like, you know, the industry has a perception issue, Right. And so what the industry needs is a podcast that talks about the good things that happen to hopefully help change some of that perception.

Ed Caswell [00:02:32]:
And so that's what this show is all about. I, you know, good stories about good people that are doing good things in their community. And I've never said it that way before, but that should be our slogan. That was a great, great way to sum it up.

Braxton Critcher [00:02:44]:
Yeah.

Ed Caswell [00:02:45]:
So you guys won the Radical Generosity award at Vision 2025. I was there, I did not get to meet you guys, but Brian and Kim Walker connected, the three of us. And I don't know anything about this award. I really don't know a whole lot about you, except I like who you pull for in sports. The Tar Heels and the cardinals. St. Louis Cardinals. But it seems that you're generous people.

Ed Caswell [00:03:14]:
So how in the world does one come up with this kind of award in their back pocket?

Braxton Critcher [00:03:21]:
Go ahead, Brandy.

Brandi Caswell [00:03:24]:
Well, I think that. I mean, like Edward had mentioned, our team is the one that nominated us for this award. So the things that we did or do were not looking for recognition. I think they just felt like it needed to be shared. So, I mean, we've. We've done things around our community for a long time. And then I think in recent years, Edward has really had a heart for just helping people in need during times of, you know, we had a tornado in a snowstorm, and we couldn't work. So he was like, let's just take what we have and see what we can do to be of service.

Ed Caswell [00:04:16]:
So that happened for you, Ed, Tell me more about. About that. Did it happen recently or when did that happen?

Braxton Critcher [00:04:25]:
When I decided to start doing that.

Ed Caswell [00:04:27]:
Well, no, the. The storm. The snowstorm she was just talking about.

Braxton Critcher [00:04:30]:
Yeah. So, yeah, we had a tornado that came through our area. It was mass destruction, tore a lot of stuff up. It was really close to our shop. I think that actually happened in Vision 2024, I'm pretty sure. And it came through.

Ed Caswell [00:04:46]:
Or tornadoes in March Common.

Braxton Critcher [00:04:49]:
Yeah, we. We had a lot of tornado. We just got hit with tornadoes, which were covering them in prayer in a town just up the road from us. And there was a lot of destruction again. And a big hail storm that just damaged 25 cars that are one of our other stores. So we've had. Yeah, we get that a lot. So, man, welcome to the Midwest, brother.

Braxton Critcher [00:05:09]:
Yeah, so, yeah, the opportunity, you know, God had really placed it on my heart as he's. He's worked on me and helped mold my heart a certain way throughout these past few years is, you know, I actually got challenged. And a little backstory here is we. We had a guy in here, we. He did a 34 Ford or 34 Chevy, and we put LS Motor and everything was going wrong with it. And he was frustrated, and he was standing at the front counter, and a lady we know, her name's Danielle Owens, she's a principal of a school, walked up to pray for him, and he was like. We gave her a weird look, and he's like, I don't need your prayer. And she's like, well, just know I'll be praying for you.

Braxton Critcher [00:05:52]:
Well, we went to church the next Sunday. She's little and she's dynamic. She walked right up to him, put her finger in my face, and she said, edward, God blessed you with. With Full throttle automotive, and you need to start using it for his purpose. I was like, yes, ma' am. Wow.

Ed Caswell [00:06:09]:
At that time, I was already ch her way.

Braxton Critcher [00:06:12]:
Oh, she's. She was big and bold and. And my wife's all. Brandy's always been that way. She's always just poured into everybody and got a servant's heart and everybody within our teams that way. Her sister Sam, who said, behind me, everybody's got a servant's heart. They're absolutely amazing. But when.

Braxton Critcher [00:06:27]:
When God laid that on my heart that we needed to start utilizing this business for more than automotive, it challenged me, and I definitely got excited to. To be able to start doing that. So we started hosting a men's group here on Tuesday nights.

Ed Caswell [00:06:45]:
At the shop?

Braxton Critcher [00:06:46]:
Yeah, at the shop, we do a men's group. And then, you know, every time something comes up, I pray about those times when we can plug ourselves into it. And, you know, we had a. Some trees fall on one of our customers. House. House. And it did a ton of damage. Our whole team.

Braxton Critcher [00:07:02]:
I went over there to help me and one other guy. Next thing I know, I'm getting goosebumps. Holy spirit, man. So the. The whole team rolls up from Full Throttle and, like, we got this. I'm talking massive trees on this house. They cut the whole tree up, did everything, Got it all put away. Re Tarp the house and did that.

Braxton Critcher [00:07:22]:
It was amazing. And then we had a big ice storm, and it took out a bunch of electricity. People were without power. They were all in need. I came to the shop, I was praying when I got here, and God laid it lighted on my heart like, hey, open this place up. Give them a place to sleep. So that's what we did. We went and picked people up throughout the community and.

Braxton Critcher [00:07:43]:
And some of the crew here did that. We had catering company catering food. Everybody just stepped up through the community. My wife brought bags of stuff. She just had all kinds of stuff and. And blankets and air mattress, and we put it together and. And just loved on the people in the community. You know, we can't claim.

Braxton Critcher [00:08:03]:
We can't wear this hat. Can't claim to be. Be. Want to be like Jesus and never be his hands and feet. So that's what We.

Ed Caswell [00:08:09]:
Well, you know, you talked about that woman from your church and how she confronted you there. And I mean, that. That's necessary sometimes, but, you know, so. So tell me about how long had you owned the shop and run the shop before this conversation?

Braxton Critcher [00:08:29]:
Five. Was it five years, six years?

Brandi Caswell [00:08:32]:
It would have been probably seven.

Braxton Critcher [00:08:37]:
Yeah.

Brandi Caswell [00:08:38]:
Six or seven years.

Braxton Critcher [00:08:39]:
Yeah.

Ed Caswell [00:08:40]:
Okay.

Braxton Critcher [00:08:40]:
So prior to this, Brandy was a. Not for profit, and I was actually a school teacher. I didn't come from the industry, so I was a school teacher, and we started the business, you know, just 11 years ago. And, yeah, four years ago is probably when those changes started happening. God really got a hold of my life, and. And Brandy's always been prevalent, like a believer and always following the Lord, and. And I had some things to work through, so I went to church, but didn't really follow what Christ was doing, you know, what he had intended for me in my life. So at that point, about five years ago, we had to change.

Braxton Critcher [00:09:19]:
I had to change a lot of things and had to go some counseling and all kinds of stuff to. To clean my life up. And my wife stood beside me and showed me that unconditional love that only God could show. And she. She fought the fight with me, and, you know, I don't take that for granted ever. And now that, you know, the opportunities arise, we got to be able to share that back with the people around us and love on them day in and day out.

Ed Caswell [00:09:44]:
And now. So the. This conversation, the confrontation that happened there at church recently or. Or after the. The thing at your shop about her wanting to pray for that man, Is that the moment, or had God already been working on you?

Braxton Critcher [00:10:02]:
Got. God had been working on me. I had. And I'm. I'm almost. I'm transparent, so I'm gonna. I'm gonna be pretty semi transparent. So I went.

Braxton Critcher [00:10:12]:
I went through child protective services, was abused, got out of that, got put in really tough situations, you know, abuse, and At a young age. And that was my crutch for a long time for sexual idolatry and addictions and struggles that I had. But again, my wife just stood firm. I mean, she didn't waver. She fought the fight with me, helped see me come through that, and just. That was the turning point for some. So many. So much time.

Braxton Critcher [00:10:40]:
I just had never felt unconditional love. Like, you can't even. Like. Like you say, God's unconditional, His love's forever and all those things, but, you know, when you see somebody that actually walks that and carries that day in and day out and. And she just stood beside me through that tough time. And she didn't leave. She fought. I mean, she fought for us.

Ed Caswell [00:11:00]:
And.

Braxton Critcher [00:11:00]:
And there's. I could tell story after story, just amazing things that God was doing through that time. And, yeah, it turned into one of those things that, yeah, she. She helped me at that time. And that was about five years ago. And then that thing then. Then Danielle challenging me to use the business for the right thing. Definitely change the trajectory of our business and me as a leader at that same time.

Braxton Critcher [00:11:27]:
And a little backstory, because we're talking about vision a little bit. I actually went to Vision that year and found that I was a really bad business owner. So I went to the classes. I was in Aaron's class. I was in all everybody's classes, Cecil's and so forth. And I was sitting in there, they were talking about cogs. We had been in business for like, five years, and I didn't even know what that meant. I was just running hard and fixing cars.

Braxton Critcher [00:11:51]:
And I came back and was very challenged to become a better leader. And Brandy, she. She can attest I came back in a bad mood and frustrated. So there was a lot of things that kind of just hit all together at the same time. Being challenged by Danielle, my wife, showing unconditional love, and. And then being challenged by the industry in going division, which pushed me to grow and. And sharpen my axis as a leader of our business.

Ed Caswell [00:12:20]:
Brandy, what does this mean to you? You know, it seemed like this was something that you were thinking about, praying about, wanting to see happen for a long time, and then it happened. So what, like, when you sit there and you hear Ed talk about this, what does that. What does that mean to you?

Brandi Caswell [00:12:38]:
I mean, I've heard him share this side of things before, and I don't know, it's hard to take credit because honestly, like, my strength through everything that we went through was honestly just Jesus. And I'm. I'm humbled that he thinks so highly of me, but, I mean, truly, it was God, and I'm. I just so proud and honored to be his wife. He's done such amazing things, and I love supporting him. And just seeing how he pours back into the people around him is just. It's a reward for everything that we went through. You know, it's just a testament to how good God is and where he's brought us from and how he's blessed us.

Brandi Caswell [00:13:32]:
And now we get to pay it forward and share that goodness with others.

Ed Caswell [00:13:36]:
Yeah, I know. You don't want to give yourself credit, but God does use people and I think he definitely used you in his life.

Brandi Caswell [00:13:45]:
Thank you.

Ed Caswell [00:13:45]:
So that's, that's awesome, man.

Braxton Critcher [00:13:48]:
It's hard to talk this. I'm tearing up. She's so awesome.

Brandi Caswell [00:13:53]:
Not the conversation I thought we were gonna have, guys.

Braxton Critcher [00:13:55]:
No, it definitely wasn't mine either. But you know, you gotta, you gotta, you gotta know the testimony behind the, the reason why you're excited about it. And then, you know, God just kept putting the right people in the right seats. Like my sister in law, she's a strong believer and she's helped us and our general managers, they're believers and they're just amazing people and they've got the same servants hearts that, you know, we got it put on us. And man, it's just, it's, it's so dynamic. And then just to see the culture shift within the business is just, it's so awesome. Braxton. It's the most beautiful thing.

Braxton Critcher [00:14:29]:
We. So when we started the business, I was, I was not a good person. All right, so three of the people that started with this, we had d. We had the 3Ds, Dalton, Dakota and Dylan. And we, we were getting in a lot of trouble. We weren't great. Okay. So they, they followed me because of all the wrong reasons that time.

Braxton Critcher [00:14:48]:
Well, we had. One of the most cool things ever happen about four weeks ago is I'm at, we're at church and all three of them walked in together and they didn't go to church and they all walked into church together. And I'm, man, I'm telling you right now, I started balling because now instead of chasing the things we were chasing, now they're chasing Jesus and the, the goodness that comes with him. And, and that all, you know, sparked and started because of my wife believing in me.

Ed Caswell [00:15:23]:
So, so I got a couple of things. The ultimate goal I want to get to. In a second, I'm going to remind myself to, to get back to this. But the, the, you're talking about how this changed the trajectory of your business and how it's changed the people inside of it. I mean, when you say that you're talking about what, finances, environment, all of the above, the community impact, what, like, explain that.

Braxton Critcher [00:15:58]:
All of it. I mean, everything from, you know, when you're, when you're running, when you're in a life of sin and all the things that you're chasing that don't bring, doesn't bring light to, to God and, and, and you're not happy and you're letting addictions run your life. You're focusing a lot of time on those things. Right. So when you shift from that and, and God gives you a new perspective of what you can do in the time, even of what you're doing now, it's being used for good. A lot of things changed. It made me a better leader. Right.

Braxton Critcher [00:16:35]:
It made us work together to, to, to get a new purpose for the business. And finances went in the right direction because of better leadership and being able to have, you know, scoreboards and understanding what we need to do and understanding numbers. You've got to have that community outreach of being able to donate. Right. Finances are available. To be able to donate a lot and, and tithe money to, to good soil. Yeah. I mean, all of it.

Braxton Critcher [00:17:06]:
The, the culture within the business. I mean, to see those, just those three individuals walking in together into church, man, like we're not. You know, that's the cool thing about it. You know, it's one little drop and then as you picture the ripple through the lake, right, like it, it spreads out and other people catch on fire and, and, and get to see, you know, you're just sort of trying to be a reflection and trying to do things that, that Jesus wants you to do. But in all actuality, it's just. They're getting to see how great God is and what he's doing in our lives. So every aspect's changed in a drastic way. So.

Ed Caswell [00:17:41]:
Yeah, so it's the Radical Generosity Award. And what, in what ways do you see that description accurately portraying what you do? So community impact. You talked about letting people stay there, helping people with tornado victims, hail storms. Give, Give me a story, Give me a story of, of, of somebody that you were able to impact at your business because of how you see the world and your, and your business and this rad, this idea of radical generosity.

Braxton Critcher [00:18:24]:
Go Brandy, you got one. She's like, I mean, we've, and you know, we don't do any of this stuff again to be honor, but I mean, we had, we've had a lot of these, you know, these tough situations that we get faced with and, and how we can. Can navigate them. And we had, we had a customer here that he was a. AAA drop off and he went to walk across the road and, and he got hit by a car and it was a bad, it was a very bad situation. And we were able to, you know, take care of his bill, take care of him, check on him and love on him and do those type of Things from the men's group that we do here to impact the. The. My wife is in.

Braxton Critcher [00:19:11]:
Sam are working on doing a ladies night. So the. The ladies come in and they learn about their vehicles and just plugging in the community. My wife created a tell about the scholarship.

Brandi Caswell [00:19:23]:
So it's Paul Caswell memorial fund for Edward's dad, which is someone who essentially got him into cars and. But he's passed. So we set up a memorial fund for him to raise funds for students who are going into the automotive industry. So we grant those scholarships to high school seniors, and we've given cars to people in need. And Edward is so big on helping the people within our business too, which is just. It's awesome to me to see how he pours into their personal lives. So one of the things that he values is doing one on ones with our employees, but trying to see what their personal goals are, like what they want to do with their families or with their future. And if.

Brandi Caswell [00:20:22]:
Even if it's not in the automotive industry, like, he's willing to help them to the point of, hey, if it means you're gonna go start your own business and we have to lose you, we're gonna support you to do that because we want to see you grow as a person. And I think that that was honestly the big driving factor for the purchase of the shops in Owensboro at Fast Lane. It wasn't about growing the business. It was about loving on people and wanting to change their lives. Because we know that the automotive industry can be so much more than what people think that it is, like, the stereotype. And so he's done nothing but, like, work on the culture over there and helping each of the employees grow individually and making it a better place for them.

Braxton Critcher [00:21:10]:
Yeah, we've been blessed to even walk with people, you know, had low credit scores and then, like, help them navigate that and how to raise their credit so they could buy a home. I mean, just. Just pouring in, man. Like, that's what's what we're called to do. I mean, yeah, my time's divided up now, and I don't get to do it quite as much as I used to. But to see the impact of being able to just, you know, take some Jesus in there and before we have a meal, we pray. And they've never had that. I mean, we, we.

Braxton Critcher [00:21:39]:
When we were just in a meeting. You'll appreciate this. We were just in a meeting and we were talking about tithing, and somebody before I said the word, it was in. In the outline for the, for the meeting. And they're like, what's tithing? Right. Because they had never heard it. They had never heard it, heard what it was. And what a cool opportunity to be able to teach about tithing and back that up with biblical scriptures and so forth.

Braxton Critcher [00:22:02]:
It's just. It's just loving people, man.

Ed Caswell [00:22:26]:
All right, there he is.

Braxton Critcher [00:22:29]:
Sorry we all froze.

Ed Caswell [00:22:31]:
But the last thing you said was what a cool opportunity to be able to teach somebody.

Braxton Critcher [00:22:36]:
Yeah, it just, it literally comes down to be able to teach them and then back it up a biblical scripture and talk about tithing and just, you know, like I said, it just simply comes down to taking time to love on people and pour into them more than just being an auto mechanic or a technician or specialist, as Carm says now. But whatever that looks like, it's just love on them. Love on them. Things. Things just work if you love on them.

Ed Caswell [00:23:03]:
Tell me more about the men's group because I don't know. I'm sure there are, but I don't know of anyone else that does a men's Bible study at the repair shop. So that's. That's pretty cool.

Braxton Critcher [00:23:15]:
Yeah. So as we, as we, me and my wife, were working through a very difficult, dark time in our relationship. Actually one of my. I was a teacher, one of my former students. I had been a mentor for him for so many years that he had grown so much. Actually, it's her, it's. It's their brother in law. But anyways, we're all connected, like you said.

Braxton Critcher [00:23:38]:
So he and I end up asking him to become a spiritual mentor for me. He's younger than me, but his walk with Christ was amazing. So he. Every Tuesday we would get together and we would meet and talk. We were doing a idolatry book and it was tough. And at the end of every. Every time we met, he would look at me in the eyes and say, are you lying to me? And he was holding me accountable. And it was really a cool thing to walk through that and have.

Braxton Critcher [00:24:04]:
Have somebody come alongside you and, and help you navigate those. Those dark times. And. And then they started having a men's group at our church. Like the third, third and fourth or no second and fourth Tuesdays. Well, I figured out really quick and, And Brandy did too, was I showed up a little better every Tuesday night when I went to that. So we decided, hey, on the first and third Tuesdays, we'll start having it at the shop. So we.

Braxton Critcher [00:24:36]:
We have a men's group that comes together sometimes there'll be A little bit of guide, guided direction in that something maybe God's laid on my heart or something going on even with me and Brandy or in our families or something. That's. That. That's just. I feel like that all men could benefit from, and I pray over that. I usually try to back it up with some. With biblical truths, but we don't. It's not a guided Bible study.

Braxton Critcher [00:25:00]:
It's. It's literally just men coming together to be able to lay it out there for us, to be able to navigate through the things of the world.

Ed Caswell [00:25:07]:
So I love that.

Braxton Critcher [00:25:09]:
Yeah, it's. It's powerful, man. Like, you know, when you bring God into your business like that, I mean, even if it's after hours, his presence is here and. And he's. You know, you can see it, the ripple effect as it just starts going out to the business. And, you know, some of the people within the business have been coming. They come to the Bible study, and it just changes things, especially to be surrounded with men that are vulnerable, to be able to walk through some of that stuff because we all face the same struggles and battles. Right.

Braxton Critcher [00:25:38]:
And it's such a safe place to be able to come. And. And the automotive shop was. It just had to be there, right? Like, think about that. It's an automotive shop.

Brandi Caswell [00:25:47]:
So.

Braxton Critcher [00:25:48]:
So, you know, you don't have any of this preconceived, churchy, like, you're going to church thing, like you're going to the automotive shop. And it just creates a, A, A level of. Of like not being, not worrying, and, and it's just being easy, and that's what it's turned into. And then we walk around, look at cool cars together too, either here.

Ed Caswell [00:26:08]:
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Braxton Critcher [00:26:09]:
We do men's br.

Ed Caswell [00:26:10]:
It is a men's group, so you got to have some of that, too.

Braxton Critcher [00:26:13]:
Yeah, we just had a men's breakfast here. We had like 50, 45 or 50 men here for a men's breakfast on a Saturday. Our church wasn't able to host it when we normally did, so we just put it together here and cater in food and. And people give a message and eat together and. And do that type of thing also.

Ed Caswell [00:26:31]:
So. Good news in auto repair, this podcast, I don't get the opportunity to do as many episodes as I'd like. Sometimes there are good stories, but it's hard to get in touch with folks. But the thing that I've noticed, I. Out of the maybe 10 episodes I've done, I don't know, maybe half have been Christians. And that's not intentional. That's not me being a Christian trying to get more Christians onto the, the podcast. That's just I hear a good story or someone else does like Kim and Brian and they connect me with the guest.

Ed Caswell [00:27:21]:
So that's not me. That's just how things have worked out. But I think it's noteworthy to, to say that because when I talk about the industry needs kind of a facelift, it needs a perception change, that kind of thing. What if the industry doesn't need those things? Those things are accomplished through just getting more Jesus in it. And you know, I good news in auto repair, people like you, people like Brian and Kim Walker Paul and Kristen Danner, I've had Chris Enright on people that live their faith through what they do, making a difference in their community, but are also starting to make a difference through things that they do in the industry. So you know, to get a better perception and to change the industry, maybe the industry just needs some Jesus.

Braxton Critcher [00:28:20]:
Man, you just got me. I got goosebumps. Look at you preach that word. Yeah, I absolutely agree. I think that. And am I a perfect Christian? There's no such thing, right? Like I still got. Oh no, no, absolutely like so being on here and be able to talk through this has nothing to do with like I'm a better. It simply comes down to having the right heart and, and the softening of the heart and taking down the walls that get created in just the society today and all the things we hit with.

Braxton Critcher [00:28:53]:
Look, owning automotive shops is tough. There's a lot of moving parts. You know our big stores, 18 bays, we've got a 13 base store, 12 base. There's a lot of moving parts and I come home not great sometimes. And we just had a tough talk last week. I mean we, it some days are tough for me and it, I, I get overwhelmed. But man is you can as you can try to put Jesus first and, and try to replicate him and to have a wife. That's that, that's that also that that gives you good spiritual truths, man.

Braxton Critcher [00:29:24]:
It just, it just makes everything work a little easier. I mean just yesterday, I mean we're one of this podcast right now. Yesterday I was in freakout Mode. We had 27 cars get hit by golf golf ball size hell over the weekend and destroyed every car at our other stores. Look, I was scared. Brandy knows like I was, I was nervous. But what did. She's like, God's got this.

Braxton Critcher [00:29:48]:
We're good, it's going to be fine. And what it, what Happened. It's all fine. God's got this and everything's taken care of. It's going to cost us a thousand bucks to fix every car. Like, we're good. Insurance covered it all, like, so, you know, to. To have faith like that like my wife does, and, and what I try to have daily is, is, man, it just makes everything work a little easier and.

Braxton Critcher [00:30:10]:
And we all need it in this industry, man. This. This industry is tough. So. I love what you said there. Little Jesus in this industry can go a long, long, long way.

Ed Caswell [00:30:20]:
Yeah, well, you know, just having this conversation with you guys has it kind of challenged me a little bit because, you know, I feel like my wife and I, we. We. We teeth, right? Is that what your tech said? Teeth ties?

Braxton Critcher [00:30:38]:
He.

Ed Caswell [00:30:40]:
Yeah, I feel like we. We tithe properly. We give to missions, that kind of thing. And, and, you know, we. We pray together as a couple. We do Bible studies together. But. But honestly, I don't feel like we're impacting our community in the way that you guys are.

Ed Caswell [00:30:56]:
And so, you know, I. I'm kind of in the church bubble a little bit. You know, I go to a men's group for Friday mornings myself, and we go to church and that kind of thing. But, you know, and the way that you guys are. Are doing life with people day in, day out has kind of challenged me a little bit. So that's what, you know, conversations like this do. So thank you. Thank you to you guys for helping me get there.

Ed Caswell [00:31:23]:
And hopefully somebody listening or watching can be challenged as well to improve their relationship with Jesus or meet him for the first time. But this conversation has been really helpful for me. So thank you guys for. For being radically generous.

Braxton Critcher [00:31:42]:
Thank you very much, man. It's, you know, God keeps opening doors. You know, we had no clue with getting that award that another multiple doors would be open. You know, be able to do a ratchet and wrench. Being in their magazine recently, be able to do this. Like, it all comes down to God's give. God gives all of us a platform, right? Whether it's an automotive shop or your hair stylist, it doesn't matter what it is. God gives us a platform and, and what we got to be able to do is be radical and.

Braxton Critcher [00:32:10]:
And speak it about him and be fearless and be able to do that. So thank you very much, man. It means a whole lot to us, and it's very humbling to win the award, but also to be here with you on here because, yeah, has nothing to do with us and, And I love that you know that.

Brandi Caswell [00:32:24]:
And I don't. I don't really think that you have to have the mindset of doing something radical. That's definitely not where we started. And it's not. I wouldn't even consider us, honestly, as radical people. It's just doing those small, everyday things when, you know, the opportunity presents itself and being obedient to God, to love on people. I mean, it could be something as simple as, you know, you know, helping out a neighbor or whatever. And it's just.

Brandi Caswell [00:32:54]:
It's crazy, kind of to what you said earlier. The more that we've done and the more obedient we are when opportunity presents itself. Like, God just keeps giving us ways to give back to others. So, I mean, how can we not be good stewards of what he's blessed us with, like I said earlier, and pay it forward? So you definitely don't have to start big. You don't have to do anything radical to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Ed Caswell [00:33:28]:
I can see why you guys won the award. Thanks for joining me. I really appreciate you guys. And keep doing what you're doing.

Brandi Caswell [00:33:37]:
Thank you for having us.

Braxton Critcher [00:33:38]:
Thank you, Braxton. We appreciate you, brother. Keep doing what you're doing. Sam.
