The event brought together 54 high school juniors and seniors who excel in regional contests. Winners now advance to the SkillsUSA National Competition in Atlanta this June. The competition highlights the growing importance of career and technical education programs equipping students with hands on skills and industry connections. Industry leaders including icar, PPG and CCC were on site to elevate students and provide resources.

Pittsburgh State University in Pittsburgh, Kansas is planning a $20 million expansion to enhance its automotive program. According to KSN 16, the new facility will feature a laboratory space for students to work with heavy equipment, including hydraulic systems and electric vehicles.
